Sheryl Crow seeks restraining order

31st July 2012

Sheryl Crow has sought a restraining order against an obsessed fan who has threatened her life.

The mother-of-two says she has found the actions of Phillip Gordon Sparks "extremely alarming" and wants protection for her family and colleagues.

TMZ reports that legal documents they have obtained claims that Sparks started posting "disturbing" messages about Sheryl on Facebook in April.

"It was clear to me that [Sparks] was deeply disturbed because his posts were delusional, rambling, filled with profanity and laced with angry rants," the papers stated.

Sparks claimed that the singer had "broken into his house because I was looking for his gun" and "claimed that [Sheryl] was supposedly filming him surreptitiously, tried to have him arrested and that I had stolen money from him."

"All of these allegations were, of course, categorically false," the singer maintained.

Sparks is also accused of going to the offices of the Screen Actors Guild and told an employee that he was going to "just shoot me."

Sheryl is requesting protection for herself and 16 other people including her two boys, sister, parents, siblings, nanny, assistant and managers.
