Silambarasan, aka Simbu aka STR, is a multi-faceted personality, quite like his father Vijaya T Rajendar. Of late, he is keen on establishing himself as a playback singer, a move which is paying rich rewards.

The song 'Nadhiyile....', which Simbu crooned for 'Doo', is already topping the charts. There are two versions of the song in the audio CD and have been welcomed by both critics and fans alike.

Meanwhile, Simbu has crooned the remix of 'Kaatu vazhi pora ponnay...' for Prashanth-starrer 'Mambattiyan', which is a remake of the yesteryear 'Malayur Mambattiayan'. Prashanth says, "Simbu is one of my close pals and I am happy that he has crooned for my film."
