Sri Ramarajyam to be remade in Tamil

'Sri Ramarajyam', which is making waves all over Andhra Pradesh, will be released in Tamil soon.

The mythological film in Telugu starring Balakrishna and Nayantara as Lord Rama and Goddess Seetha respectively was released a couple of weeks ago in Andhra Pradesh and went on to become a huge hit.

The Tamil version is produced by Future Films, which had earlier rendered movies like 'Pandhaya Kozhi' and 'Bommayi'.

Made at a cost of Rs 45 crore, Sri Ramarajyam stars veteran actor Nageswara Rao in a prominent role. Brahmanandham, K R Vijaya, Jayasudha and Roja are also in the cast.

The movie directed by Bapu has music by Ilayaraja and cinematography by P R K Raju. For re-recording Ilayaraja had invited symphonic orchestra from Norway.

According to producer Kiran, 'Ramayana is always adored and admired by masses. The story of Lava - Kusha, sons of Lord Rama holds a special place in everyone's heart. 'Sri Ramarajyam' is based on Lava- Kusha's life story.

The Tamil version has dialogues and songs penned by poet Piraisoodan.
