The Help received the most accolades at last night's 18th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards.
The Civil Rights drama based on the eponymous novel won awards in three categories including Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture and Best Actress for Viola Davis.
Octavia Spencer lit up the crowd when she graced the stage to pick up her trophy for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role.
Octavia paid tribute to her co-stars and the people who fought for black American civil rights in the 1960s.
"By honouring me, you honour them," she acknowledged in her acceptance speech.
Actor Jean Dujardin from French film The Artist took a surprise win in Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role, beating George Clooney for his work in The Descendants.
Modern Family and Boardwalk Empire dominated television categories.
Steve Buscemi won the Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series award for his work in Boardwalk Empire and the cast of Modern Family were honoured with a trophy for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series.
Actress Mary Tyler Moore was the recipient of the 48th Annual Life Achievement Award.
The SAG Awards were held in Los Angeles.
