Veteran film actress Nanda passed away this morning at the age of 75 at her Versova residence after suffering from a heart attack.
The actress started her career in 1956 with V Shantaram's 'Toofan Aur Diya'.
After playing supporting roles in 'Bhabhi', Dev Anand's 'Kala Bazar', and 'Dhool Ka Phool', the actor rose to stardom with LV Prasad's 'Chhoti Bahen', where she played the title role.
Her other significant films include 'Jab Jab Phool Khile', 'Gumnaam', 'The Train' and 'Joroo Ka Ghulam'.
Nanda received her first Filmfare nomination for the film 'Bhabhi' in the supporting role category. While she did not receive that, she got her Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress in 1960 for 'Aanchal'.
She will be remembered by many for her various roles in Bollywood films and her timeless beauty.
