Vidya Balan is an actress who likes to get in the skin of the character. She shed her non-glam look and emerged as the sensuous and sex siren in the film "The Dirty Picture". Her scintillating avatar had stumped everyone as her skin show and bold scenes in the films made jaws drop. But the actress was herself very anxious and skeptical over the reaction of her parents before the film’s release. “Right through the film's making, I was wary of my parent's reactions,” stated Vidya.

However she claimed that though she has been flooded with compliments, but the onesshe received from her parents were the best. “I am ecstatic with all the compliments that have come my way even though the film's release was a month ago. What touched my heart most was the acknowledgement coming from my parents,” said Vidya.

She even revealed that what was the compliment she got from her parents, “They (her parents) said to me that within five minutes of "The Dirty Picture", they forgot that the girl on screen was their daughter and instead took home 'Silk'. It was a big relief!!!” exclaimed Vidya.
