Will.i.am to donate computers to pupils

28th May 2012

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Will.i.am was deeply moved by the students he visited as part of the UK's Prince's Trust youth charity.

The Black Eyed Peas musician, producer and judge on Britain's version of The Voice made an appearance at a music project that took place in east London.

Will.i.am was happy to interact with the pupils.

"Will met around ten kids from the Prince's Trust programme," a source told British newspaper The Sun. "They performed songs they had been working on and he gave them loads of advice."

"He really put in a lot of effort, comparing them to rappers like Nas and Busta Rhymes and suggesting business ideas and ways to promote their music. Will is really into technology so he was also telling them they should all create apps to go along with their music."

Will.i.am also pledged to provide the pupils with 15,000 worth of laptops.

"As he was leaving he said he'd give them all a MacBook to help and asked the Prince's Trust organisers to sort it out and bill him for the Apple gear," the insider continued. "It was a great gesture." (C) Cover Media
