Denzel Washington: I keep Oscars next to stuffed animals

24th November 2010

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Denzel Washington keeps his two Oscars in a room with big animal heads.

The 55-year-old actor is one of Hollywoods most respected actors, having received two prestigious Academy Awards during his long career; one for best actor for Training Day and one for best supporting actor in Glory.

Denzel is immensely proud of his prizes, and keeps the trophies together in a grand library at his home next to a collection of stuffed animals.

Next to each other in the library - the trophy room with the big animal heads, he told a BBC radio host when asked where he keeps the awards.

Denzel is currently promoting Unstoppable, a thriller he stars in about an unmanned freight train which hurtles towards a city. The actor completed all his own stunts, and admits standing on top of a moving train for the film was the stupidest thing hed ever done.

The film also stars Hollywood A-listers Chris Pine and Rosario Dawson, although Denzel regrets there wasnt much time to have fun on set.

Because we shot all the scenes on a real train we would just do one continuous take... We didnt really have time between takes, he lamented. (C) Cover Media
