Easy A Scores At The Box Office

20th September 2010

September 20, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): The movie Easy A would score about $30 million and gives tweens, teens and even adults to enjoy this fun version of the classic The Scarlett Letter, written by Nathaniel Hawthorne.

The movie stars Emma Stone, who was first seen in the Jonah Hill movie Superbad and she plays a modern day version of Hester Prynne. There's however a major twist in the tale.

The team of Will Gluck, the director and the screenwriter Bert V. Royal has quite clearly manifested their affection for the classic 80's era teen comedies by John Hughes and their influences are reflected perfectly.

The audience seems to love this newer version that is full of in your face dialogues and also showcases a perfect yet non-typical visual style. This movie sounds perfect for high school people.

This movie was shot at Screen Gems studios and in Ojai in California.

Easy A screenwriter Bert V. Royal claims to have written the entire screenplay in a matter of five days barring the last ten pages.

Royal initially had planned to adapt a total of three classic works into films set them at the similar high school in a way that the characters would appear in numerous films. We wish this high school based teen-romantic comedy the best of luck and may it rock!
