(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Freida Pinto says Dev Patel charmed people by being a boy trying to be a man, trying to flirt with women on the set of Slumdog Millionaire.

The two stars both appeared in Danny Boyles Oscar-winning 2008 movie, which is where they met and fell in love. Although Freida admits her now 20-year-old beau did make suggestive comments to her while they were shooting, she initially took no notice as he was like that with everyone. Dev charmed the other actresses by being cheeky with them, which was all the cuter because he was so young at the time.

He has this typical British sense of humour, which is a funny, sexual kind of humour. He would flirt with everyone on the set hed just go up to all the women and say, Youre looking very sexy today, she recalled. And they would get really happy because here was this boy trying to be a man, and trying to flirt with grown-up women.

There were continuous rumours about the nature of Dev and 26-year-old Freidas relationship after the film was made. The pair didnt talk about their romance in public, but Freida says they werent consciously trying to keep things private. They actually didnt realise they were in love for a long time, and it wasnt until others began speculating about their friendship that they realised they had feelings for each other.

Others would say, We think something is going on, but we never knew until we actually sat down and said, What the hell is happening here? Is this normal? It was our first film after all, so you never know, she explained to Look magazine. I guess nobody could know except the two of us and we didnt know for a really long time.
