(Cover) - EN Showbiz - James Franco has been having voice coaching in preparation for the Oscars.

The Hollywood star is presenting the upcoming Academy Awards alongside Anne Hathaway, and is also in the running for the best actor prize for his part in 127 Hours. He and Anne have done a great deal of rehearsing ahead of the ceremony, with James revealing they will be singing and dancing.

This weekend we did shoot some of the pre-tape sections. Anne Hathaway and I did some dancing, some choreographed dancing, and I recorded some vocal tracks, he explained.

I had a great coach. He pulled it out of me.

James added he enjoyed singing so much he is now considering taking to the stage in New Yorks famous theatre district. It really makes me want to do a musical on Broadway, he laughed to Access Hollywood.

The 32-year-old is honoured to have been chosen to host the 83rd annual Academy Awards at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood on February 27. He plans to take his family along to the ceremony, including his grandmother. She became an internet sensation after a video of her berating people who wouldnt watch James movies appeared on spoof website Funny or Die, something she apparently loves.

The whole family is coming to the Oscars. Thats one of the nice things about being the host is you get to invite a bunch of people, so they are all coming, Grandma is coming and she might just be on camera, he explained.
