Bollywood Actress Manisha Koirala was recently diagnosed with ovarian cancer, the news which had sent a wave of sadness amongst her fans and well wishers.

However, fortunately an early diagnosis helped them start the treatment right away. First, she commenced her treatment at Mumbai's Jaslok Hospital after which she headed to the U.S. for a further advanced treatment of the cancer.

There she underwent a surgery and fortunately it was successful. Her manager Subroto Ghosh confirmed the news that Manisha has successfully undergone the surgery. Her family and close friends were with her in the hospital.
