Today is an important day for Ajith fans. For their Thala's 50th film 'Mankatha' has successfully completed 50 days at the box-office, besides emerging as one of the blockbusters of the year.

'We are planning to celebrate it. Since today is a holiday for us due to the second phase of local body polls, we are planning to go watch the film again, after polling our votes,' said A.H.Ramesh Babu from Chengalpattu, who is an ardent fan of Ajith.

Echoing him, Suresh from Pallavaram says, 'Mankatha is the biggest gift for us from Thala Ajith. His 50th film completing 50 days calls for celebrations.'

Produced by Dhayanidhi Alagiri's Cloud Nine Movies and released by Sun Pictures, Mankatha, directed by Venkat Prabhu, has Ajith playing a baddie. Arjun, Trisha, Vaibhav Reddy, Jayaprakash, Premgi Amaran, Ganesh, Mahath, Anjali and Lakshmi Ray played crucial roles. Music is by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
