(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Natalie Portman wishes Hollywoods women were allowed to be more vulgar.
The gorgeous actress stars in the highly acclaimed film Black Swan, which is a thriller focussing on the lives of ballet dancers. She has also appeared in other, more brash, roles such as Anna in the 2004 movie Closer.
Natalie thinks actresses, especially if they are pretty, are not allowed to display a more juvenile sense of humour - which is a trend she wants to change via her production company Handsomecharlie. Women... are generally not allowed to beautiful and funny, and certainly not vulgar," the 29-year-old told Vogue magazine.
According to the well-liked star, there is a place in the market for super-famous women to be the object of attraction for men. But, Natalie argues, there is no place for those same women to share their underlying, often lewd, desires.
There's a difference between being in a bra and underpants as an object on a men's-magazine cover and playing yourself - a woman with desires and needs who loves and laughs with her friends - in a bra and underpants, she lamented. (C) Cover Media
