Akshay Kumar's 'The Shaukeens' manages to earn only Rs.10 crores in its opening weekend. The film earned Rs.5 crores on its first day, while on the second day the scenario was nevertheless same as the film raked Rs.5 crores, thus getting the total collection to Rs.10 crores at the box office.

According to a trade website, “The Shaukeens had reasonable growth of 20-25% on Saturday though it needed more growth due to low start on Friday. Still there is growth and the film now needs a very strong hold on Monday.”

So far the film has got mixed reviews from the audiences and critics and is doing fairly well as compared to 'Rang Rasiya'. Ketan Mehta's controversial film has earned only 60 Lakhs at the ticket window.
