(Cover) - EN Movies - Thor is still dominating the US box office, raking in $34.5 million this weekend.
The latest Marvel Comics superhero movie stormed to the top last weekend after turning over $66 million in its opening week.
The action adventure movie stars Chris Hemsworth, Sir Anthony Hopkins and Natalie Portman and tells the story of the famed warrior cast out of the realm of Asgard and sent to live amongst humans on Earth, where he soon becomes one of the countrys powerful defenders.
The movie is directed by Kenneth Branagh and produced by Marvel Studios.
Comedy movie Bridesmaids opened well. The Paul Feig-directed comedy, which stars Kristin Wiig and Rose Byrne, took in $24.4 million in its first three days of release.
The comedy is produced by Judd Apatow who is best known for directing comedies Knocked Up and The 40 Year Old Virgin.
Fast Five earned $19.5 million over the weekend, putting the film in third place at the box office. The movie has now raked in a total of $168.7 million in the US.
Priest made $14.5 million over the weekend. The science fiction film stars Paul Bettany and tells the story of a priest who goes against the church in order to track down the vampires who have kidnapped his niece.
