(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Paul Wesley tries to avoid "chatting too much vampire" when he's not at work.

The Vampire Diaries actor is famed for playing Stefan Salvatore in the hit CW TV series, alongside Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder.

Paul insists he gets on well with his vampire franchise rivals, including Robert Pattinson.

"Yeah, I'm friends with Rob - he's lovely. I've met the True Blood guys too. But when I'm not working I try not to chat too much vampire," he quipped in an interview with British magazine more!

Paul would like to vary his film and TV roles in the future.

The star - who is also well known for his role in the ABC Family miniseries Fallen - has joked he'd like to leave the mythological parts behind for a while.

"I wouldn't mind playing a human," he said when asked what role he'd like to play next.

"As I'm 30, any role where I'm not eternally stuck in the body of a 17-year-old, really." (C) Cover Media
