His father is everything, when it comes to Vijay. For, veteran director S A Chandrasekaran is almost the official mouthpiece of the 'Ilaya Thalapathi' and his 'Makkal Iyakkam' and it was he who always speaks on behalf of the actor, who obviously has 'political dreams'.

However, SAC is quick to deny any sudden entry of his son into politics. "Vijay will sure not step into politics in the near future. Acting is his priority for the next five years and he will do two films a year," the ace director says. He adds: "It is true that members of Vijay Makkal Iyakkam want him to step into politics but things should not be done in a hurry. Vijay is keenly watching all political developments and he will take a decision at the right time."

Describing Vijay as a genius, SAC says, "I may be his dad and his mentor when it comes to cinema. He is my leader in politics. He has immense and intense knowledge of day to day happenings. His fans are gifted to have a person like Vijay at the helm of affairs."
