Helmed by Gauri Shinde, Shah Rukh Khan and Alia Bhatt starrer 'Dear Zindagi' released worldwide on November 25, 2016 and enjoyed a rather good response despite of the demonetisation policy. While the earlier films had to suffer because of the demonetisation as we got to see a major decline in the collections of some films which released in the said period. 'Dear Zindagi' on the other hand did not suffer much and enjoyed a good first day collection.
The film pocketed an approximate of Rs. 8.75 crores on its opening day followed by Rs. 11.25 crores and Rs. 12.50 crores on Saturday and Sunday respectively. This amount rounded off to Rs. 32.50 crores as the total 3 day collection.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the collection report on his twitter handle by tweeting, "#DearZindagi packs a SOLID PUNCH... Shows FAB growth... Fri 8.75 cr, Sat 11.25 cr, Sun 12.50 cr. Total: ₹ 32.50 cr [1200 screens]. India biz."
He also added, "#DearZindagi - OVERSEAS - Opening Weekend: $ 4 million [₹ 27.45 cr]... Best in USA-Canada and UAE-GCC... SUPER!"
