(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Jake Shears says Sir Elton John looks at him in disgust whenever soccer is mentioned because he doesnt understand the sport.

Elton is a big fan of soccer and even has a stake in English club Watford F.C. He loves chatting about the game with his pals, but finds it frustrating when they dont join in. Scissor Sisters star Jake is good friends with Elton having collaborated with him in the past, but the pair have agreed not to discuss sport.

No he hasnt taken me to a game, Jake laughed. He looks at me with disgust when he gets excited about it. I have no idea what hes talking about.

A love of soccer is just one of the things Jake doesnt understand about British people. He cannot see why they dont drink more coffee, explaining it is his favourite beverage of all time.

What I dont get, as an American, is the absolute disregard for coffee, he told Q magazine. It is so difficult to find a good cup of coffee in Britain. I dont know if its the Brits just saying, We have tea, so, like, f**k off. (C) Cover Media
