(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Rupert Grint is amazed letters addressed to "Ron Weasley, England" actually got delivered to his home.
The actor found fame playing wizard Ron in the Harry Potter movies, the final of which is out later this month. Rupert appears in the franchise alongside Emma Watson and Daniel Radcliffe, with all three cast in the picture when they were just kids. The films have changed their life completely, and Rupert admits he had no idea how successful they would be.
One of the most amazing things for the star is the amount of fan mail he gets and the way it's written.
"[The first time a female fan came up to me] was when I was shopping in Brent Cross after the second film came out. Yeah, that was a pretty enjoyable experience," he laughed to the British edition of Glamour magazine.
"After that, things snowballed quite quickly. A real whirlwind. I'd even get letters from foreign fans delivered to my home address with Ron Weasley, England' on the envelope somehow they'd get to me."
The 22-year-old is used to being associated with his character wherever he goes. People always call him Ron, and he doesn't mind at all. The star has even joked he wouldn't mind if a woman used the name for him during a moment of passion.
"I don't know I'm so used to people calling me Ron," he giggled, when asked if he'd mind if a lady called him by his character's name while in bed.
"It's kind of become my second name. And when people should out Ron' or Weasley' in the street, I turn around every time." (C) Cover Media
