Bollywood Superstar Shah Rukh Khan has yet again proved why he is called as the King of Box Office. His latest release 'Happy New Year' has hit bull's eye as it has apparently earned nearly Rs. 45 crores on its opening day.
The film which was released in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil has struck gold as it managed to score well in all areas. The film has earned Rs. 44.97 crores from all languages. The movie collected Rs 42.62 cr in Hindi, 1.43 crore in its Telugu version and 0.92 crore in its Tamil version.
The film has got mixed reviews from the critics but audiences seems to have loved the film to the core. Shah Rukh's charisma, Deepika-SRK's chemistry, the super hit music, a stellar cast and excellent marketing strategies have made it possible for the film to score exceptionally well at box office.
The film has broken all records till date. It has broken record of first day box office collection set by Aamir Khan's 'Dhoom 3' and Salman Khan's 'Kick'.
Incidentally last year, Aamir Khan broke the record of SRK's 'Chennai Express' opening day collection record and now SRK has beaten Aamir Khan starrer 'Dhoom 3's collection with 'HNY'.
It remains to be seen if it is able to break over all collection of these films.
